Hidden Paintings (2012)

Hidden Paintings are oil paintings on wood panels and are designed to disappear into the background. The first installment of this ongoing series consists of credit-card-sized panels painted on my lap atop skirts and dresses with pattered fabric and photographed.  The impulse to paint this way originates from the feeling of doodling on pants or unraveling the frayed edge of clothing.
